Revlon Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze

Rating - ****

I believe that Revlon created this product to directly compete with Loreal's Infallible Lipgloss. While both are long wearing liquid lip color applied with a wand, the similarities end there. Truly, this is a great product. It applies easily with only one or two coats to even out the color. The color does last all day through eating and drinking, though you might notice the sighest of fades. The color wipes off easily with a tissue at the end of the day. I did notice a small tendancy to feather, so I would recommend using a lip liner with this.

My biggest concern with this product is actually the marketing. Revlon is calling this a lip glaze or lip gloss and while the formula is a liquid, the finish is more like a shiny lipstick than a traditional gloss. The color is opague, not semi-transparent like most glosses. The finish is quite lovely and does stay shiny throughout the day, but I could see it being a disapointment to those expecting a true gloss finish. So if you can live with the finish, this one is a keeper.
